Translucent windows on the leaf tubes of Sarracenia minor confuse insects once they crawl inside.   Flying toward the light they cannot escape. Tired from trying to fly upward, they rest, and fall deep inside the tube. Spines and waxy surfaces prevent them from crawlying back up. They are eaten. Wickedly effective traps.
